A little about me

Hi, I’m Georgia - an Online Health & Fitness Coach and the founder of Becoming With Georgia Anne. I have a huge passion for helping women become the best versions of themselves through confident, intentional movement and balanced, healthy, enjoyable eating.

I’m a mum of two beautiful children, and my husband works in the corporate world by day and is a bodybuilder when he isn’t in his suit! My passion for health and fitness began at the ripe age of 17, and now, in my mid-30s, I’ve finally turned that lifelong passion into a business that truly feels like a labour of love - after my own weight loss journey, where I lost 50kg.

Making movement work for real life

It’s no secret that once we reach the middle years of life, our bodies don’t always have the same plans that we do! Our best intentions can quickly compete with work, children, housework, catching up with family and friends - and somehow finding the time to hit those daily step goals and prioritise movement feels near impossible.

Many of my clients feel a huge amount of pressure to “get moving,” but the answer is often presented as simply “find the time.”

“I don’t believe time needs to be found. I believe it needs to be maximised.”

Women at every stage of life should be able to integrate movement into their lifestyle without needing to spend hours in a gym, wake up at 5am, or drag themselves out for a workout at 7pm when they’re already exhausted. Movement should be manageable, simple and realistic enough to fit into everyday life. Because when something fits your lifestyle, it has a much better chance of becoming a long-term habit rather than another “season” that lasts only as long as the initial motivation.

That’s exactly why I created my 3-Day Home Workout Program - a simple strength program that can be completed at home in around 30–40 minutes, using minimal equipment. It focuses on progressive strength training and functional movements, making it easier to build movement into your week without needing to find hours you simply don’t have.

Did you know?

Strength training matters even more in midlife

Strength training becomes particularly important during perimenopause and menopause. As oestrogen levels decline during the menopausal transition, women can experience changes in muscle mass, strength and bone density.

Resistance training provides an important stimulus to help maintain muscle and strength, while weight-bearing exercise can support bone health. Maintaining muscle can also support overall metabolic health and body composition as we move through midlife. Your bones need loading too - bone responds to mechanical loading, so resistance and weight-bearing exercise can form an important part of supporting bone health during and after menopause.

My 3 favourite functional movements for perimenopause & menopause

1

Goblet Squat

The squat is one of the most functional movement patterns we use in everyday life - think sitting down, standing up, climbing stairs and getting up from the floor. The goblet squat also lets you progressively increase the resistance as you become stronger.

2

Romanian Deadlift

The Romanian deadlift teaches the hip-hinge movement pattern - the same basic movement we use when bending down to pick something up. It targets the glutes and hamstrings while allowing you to progressively increase the load as your strength improves.

3

Push-Up

The push-up is a fantastic functional pushing movement that develops upper-body strength - and it doesn’t have to mean getting down on the floor for full push-ups! You can start against a wall, an elevated surface or from your knees, and gradually progress as your strength improves.
